Handmade & bespoke tableware for restaurants, hotels and cafés

Chef's Table

We design and make handmade porcelain and stoneware tableware for restaurants, cafés, hotels and wineries: plates, bowls, serving pieces and cups developed around your menu and your space. Every piece is shaped by hand in our studio in Sofia, with options to adapt the form, size and glaze.

Choose existing designs, develop a custom glaze or commission a new form. Most pieces are made to order; products marked Ready to ship are already available. Tell us about your project for options, timing and a quote.

Restaurant Table, 3 R. de Prague, 75012 Paris

Bruno Verjus

Custom tableware designed around Bruno’s culinary vision – a collaboration that grows with every season.

The Donburi bowl was built for a specific dish: deep, sculptural, glazed to complement the ingredients it would hold. This year, a new commission: handmade knife rests for the Table service.

Each project starts with a conversation. Each piece earns its place on his table.

“I love them all. Amazing work.”

Chef, Silivryak, Varbovo, Rhodope Mountains

Maria Jekova

Maria cooks the food of the Rhodopes from what the mountain gives: trout from cold rivers, wild mushrooms, potatoes and beans from the village gardens. In Varbovo she turned an old stone potato store into Silivryak, a guesthouse with a kitchen where guests learn the old recipes of the region.

For the first episode of Materia Mensa we made her a plate for wild Rhodopean trout with boletus risotto and leaf beet sorrel. It is shaped from Bulgarian red clay and left raw on the outside, with a glaze inside that looks like water running over stones.

Raya Silova & Nikolay Madjarov-Faycheto, culinary duo

Amor y Sal

Raya and Faycheto cook as a pair and build each menu from the produce of a place. For Soil to Soul at AYA Estate they created the dinner and wine pairing from the Struma Valley and the Melnik region. Faycheto is also a composer and wrote the music for the film.

For the second episode of Materia Mensa, Ab Ovo, we made a plate shaped after the egg. The glazed hollow holds broth and yolk and gathers the dish towards the spoon, while the outside keeps the warm white of the porcelain.

How it goes

From first conversation to first service

  • First conversation

    Tell us your story.

Tell us about your space, your menu and the feel you want. No brief needed, just a conversation.

  • Design direction

    We propose a direction.

We suggest shapes, glazes and finishes, from our collections or from a blank page.

  • Sample approval

    Sample & refine.

You test samples in service. We adjust glazes and proportions before the order starts.

  • Agreed production schedule

    Production & delivery.

Existing designs: 3–4 weeks. Adapted glazes: 5–8 weeks including sampling. Full custom: 8–10 weeks including design and sampling. We confirm your schedule and delivery estimate before production. Every piece is checked before it ships.

Before you order

  • Is there a minimum order quantity?

Chef's Table orders have a minimum of 10 pieces per item, or 5 sets for products sold in sets of two. For a new custom design, the minimum quantity depends on the piece and is confirmed in your quote.

  • How much do the pieces cost?

Prices for the pieces in this collection are shown on each product. For larger quantities and pieces developed for you, tell us what you need and we will send you a quote.

  • How long does it take?

Existing collection designs usually leave the studio in 3–4 weeks. Adapted glazes take 5–8 weeks, including sampling; a full custom design takes 8–10 weeks. These are indicative timelines. We confirm the production schedule and delivery estimate in your quote.

  • Will the pieces hold up in a busy restaurant?

Yes. For restaurants we develop the details specifically for service: the rims, the bases and the thickness of each piece, so they last in daily use.

  • Are the pieces dishwasher safe?

Yes. Our porcelain and stoneware without lustre decoration are dishwasher safe. Pieces decorated with gold, platinum or other lustres should be washed by hand. Care instructions are provided for each piece.

  • Can the pieces go in the oven or the microwave?

They are not made for the oven. All our porcelain and stoneware without lustre is microwave safe.

  • Can sizes, capacity and stacking be adapted?

Tell us the dimensions, capacity and storage requirements for your service. We discuss these during the design process and check the proposed form with samples. Stacking suitability depends on the shape; sculptural pieces may need separate storage.

  • What if a piece breaks in service?

We recommend ordering a few extra pieces for service. We keep glaze recipes for repeat orders and confirm quantities, availability and lead times when you need replacements. Small variations in colour and shape are part of handmade production.

  • Can we see samples before committing?

Yes. Samples let you check the shape, glaze and suitability for your service before production. Sample costs, shipping and timing are agreed in your quote.

  • Do you ship internationally?

Yes, worldwide with DHL, wherever delivery is possible, in professional ceramic packaging.

Tell us about your project
