Plate Materia Mensa – Episode 2 – Ab Ovo… with Amor Y Sal
Created for the second episode of Materia Mensa, in collaboration with Amor y Sal, this plate draws its form from the primal geometry of the egg – a vessel of origin, nourishment, and simple geometry.
Its glazed interior holds and reflects liquid like a contained world – broths, yolks, and subtle colors unfolding in depth. The curved form allows the dish to gather naturally, guiding every movement of the spoon. The exterior remains transparently glazed with, preserving the beautiful warm white color of our ceramic. Each plate is unique.
Designed specifically for the dish featured in Episode 2 – “Ab Ovo…” , this plate is not a passive surface but an active structure – shaping how the food rests, moves, and is experienced. It brings together form and function in a way that feels instinctive, almost inevitable.
The piece appears in Materia Mensa, Episode 2 – : Amor y Sal.

Made to order — crafted for you, with the planet in mind
Every piece is handmade in Sofia, Bulgaria, only after your order is placed — reducing waste and allowing us to tailor each item with care. We don’t use pottery wheels; our techniques are slow, manual, and focused on form and detail. Slight variations in shape, size, or glaze tone are part of the process — and proof of its authenticity.
