The Visual Language of Taste — Exhibition

Opening: 11 November 2026, 7:00 pm

The exhibition introduces Calassi, a new category of ceramic wine vessels designed around the sensory profiles of different wines. The idea emerged during the creation of the latest episode of Materia Mensa, an audiovisual series in which a ceramic artist and a chef work together to create a shared work.

Both projects explore how the shape, colour and texture of a vessel contribute to our perception of taste, drawing on research into crossmodal interactions between the senses.

Places at the opening are limited. Please register in advance.

How do colour, texture, shape and aroma work together to influence our experience of flavour? These interactive workshops explore that question through food and ceramics made especially for the event.

Participants will enjoy a tasting menu prepared by Amor Y Sal, accompanied by wines selected to complement the food. The workshops are led by Raya Silova and Nikolay Madjarov-Faycheto of Amor Y Sal, together with architect Maria Baleva.

Places are limited. Ticket information will be added here.
