Pottery & Poetry to Participate in

“THE NEW VALUABLE: Objects of Bulgarian Contemporary Craftsmanship”

August 15 – November 15, 2025

We are proud to announce that Pottery & Poetry will take part in the distinguished exhibition “THE NEW VALUABLE: Objects of Bulgarian Contemporary Craftsmanship”, hosted by the ETAR – Ethnographic Open Air Museum. This exhibition is a key part of the XIX International Fair of Traditional Crafts in Gabrovo (September 6–8, 2025) and represents a landmark event for contemporary Bulgarian crafts.

Curated by Rosina Pencheva, ambassador of the international Homo Faber craft movement, the exhibition brings together a carefully selected group of 41 exceptional Bulgarian artisans. It celebrates the vitality and relevance of craftsmanship in today’s world by highlighting creations that balance timeless tradition, sustainable production, and innovative design.

THE NEW VALUABLE

explores how authentic craftsmanship stands as a meaningful response to the modern challenges of mass production and fast consumption. Through high-quality, hand-made works, the exhibition demonstrates that originality, durability, and artistic integrity remain essential values for discerning audiences.

Pottery & Poetry is honored to be part of this curated selection, showcasing our distinctive handmade porcelain ceramics. Our participation reflects our commitment to eco-conscious practices, the reinterpretation of traditional techniques, and the creation of functional yet artistic objects that embody character and soul.

This exhibition presents an inspiring vision for the future of Bulgarian craft — one that bridges heritage and contemporary creativity, anchored in knowledge and a sustainable outlook.

We look forward to sharing more details and inviting you to experience this unique showcase alongside Bulgaria’s finest masters of craft.
