Unfinished Sympathy
A collection that reveals the soul of the material. Unglazed surfaces, exposed clay, and natural textures create pieces that feel grounded and sincere.Unfinished Sympathy explores the quiet richness of natural clays
—left bare, unglazed, and unembellished. It is a collection that finds poetry in simplicity and depth in imperfection.
Each piece is built around the tension between materials: smooth, glossy white porcelain meets unglazed, textured clays—some coarse and grogged, others soft and earthy. We highlight the natural textures of chamotte-rich clay by carving or shaping in ways that reveal its grain. The result is a tactile dialogue between surfaces—refined and raw, luminous and matte.
A Celebration of Earth’s Diversity
Unfinished Sympathy is our tribute to the richness of the earth. No pigments, no glazes—just the pure colors of clay in its natural state. From pale ivory to deep rust, from grey stone to dark espresso, the collection reminds us of how much variety already exists in the ground beneath us.
Quiet Forms, Lasting Presence
Shapes are deliberately simple, allowing the materials to speak for themselves. There is no need for ornament—here, beauty comes from the essence of the clay and the honesty of the process. Every piece carries the calm and complexity of nature, unpolished yet complete.

Why the Name
The collection takes its name from Unfinished Sympathy—one of the greatest tracks ever recorded by Massive Attack. Haunting and emotional, the song captures a tension between fragility and strength, between the personal and the universal. Much like the pieces in this collection, it speaks with few words but leaves a lasting impression. Its orchestral sweep and raw vulnerability mirror the spirit of this work: grounded, imperfect, and profoundly human.
